Under Armour produced a new ad featuring professional ballerina Misty Copeland. Copeland is the third African-American female soloist to perform at the American Ballet Theatre. See the video here:
The ad features Copeland’s narration of a rejection letter she received at age 13. The letter critiques her body and her age. Clearly, Copeland did not give up on her dream, and the value of that is clear when you see her showcase her skill by the end of the video.
Clearly hoping to strengthen their presence with the female demographic, Under Armour also sells sportswear that appeals to the lady geek, featuring DC comic book heroes such as Wonder Woman.
