Hello, TGI readers and fans! We’ve been around over 10 years, and so much has changed in this time. I’ve gained a lot of expertise over managing this blog, and I think we’ve made a net positive difference in geek culture and representation.

It wasn’t always a smooth path, or a clear one, but I want to thank the 425+ contributors that have worked on this blog and associated games. I am proud to be recognized as a platform that has consistently paid its creatives.

This blog is now archived. We are not taking new submissions. Any inquiries regarding should be directed to me via LinkedIn, please. I have disabled some forms configuration, so those are not reliable. If you’ve been published on this site, no worries – your article will still be live on the archive site and the URL will not change. Ordering game tickets (of which there are none) or any other shopping cart functions will no longer work on this site.

The Geek Initiative will continue to publish games and other content, but not on this site. And while we love our existing readership, it’s time to broaden our horizons.

I’ve had fun, but need to focus my skills and time, and do what is best for my physical and mental health. Some of the gaming culture I’m involved in, and fandoms at large, really don’t support that, and I also don’t want to expose my community to any of this nastiness when I don’t have time to community manage.

You can continue to interact on our Facebook group. Our Discord server is around, but there is archiving going on and limited activity while we regroup. If you’re interested in my continuing Chariot game or would like to keep receiving updates, please join the mailing list.

Thank you for being part of this journey.

Tara Clapper
