The Bifröst is the rainbow bridge that connects the Nine Realms to Midgard in the world of Marvel’s Thor.
Guarding this sole, “known” path into Thor’s home is the all-seeing, all-hearing Heimdall. All that guarding can make a god hungry. So I have come up with a cereal bar treat that hammers Heimball’s hunger down!
Bifrösted Flake Cereal Bars
Ingredients:
1 cup Granulated Sugar
1 cup Clear Corn Syrup
1 cup Peanut Butter (I used Extra Chunky)
6 cups Frosted Flake Cereal
Enough marshmallow rainbows to cover the bottom on the pan. (OPTIONAL: It took about 2 large boxes of Lucky Charms to get enough)
Directions:
Line the bottom of a very lightly greased 8X8 pan with the rainbow marshmallows. Place the frosted flake cereal in a mixing bowl. In a sauce pan, combine the sugar and syrup and bring to a boil, mixing regularly until dissolved. After the mixutre comes to a boil immediately remove the pan from the heat and stir in the peanut butter until THORoughly mixed. Pour the mixture into the cereal and stir until combined. Pour the whole mixture into the 8X8 pan and pack it down until even across. Let it sit for about 20 minutes. Cut into squares and enjoy!
